With almost 50 acres, three distinct parcels, multiple structures and 29 acres of planted vines offering 10 different varieties of grapes, Main Road is the nucleus of the Bedell Cellars operation. The property, with interiors by Vincente Wolf and landscaping by Edmund D. Hollander, includes the renovated 4 bedroom 1700’s cottage and the 10,000 SF main winery building which houses the 3 story Tasting Room, Barrell Room, Fermentation Cellar, Bottling Line, Wine Lab, offices, restrooms and an additional 4,000 SF Events Pavilion. Additionally, there is the agricultural barn which is used for equipment storage as well as temperature controlled wine storage for aging, all monitored by closed circuit TVs. A separate wooded 4 acre residential lot, providing a buffer between the planted vines and the neighbors beyond, could also be the site for future development.

Tasting Room

The 3 tiered tasting room is highlighted by a custom 30’ stainless steel bar. Behind it, and on other walls are custom made racks holding the various varieties of Bedell wine that are available for tasting and for sale. Upstairs, a intimate lounge with fireplace affords another area to relax and sample the award winning wines of the Bedell Winery. Further up a short staircase, a large round table awaits groups that want to share wine, stories and laughter.

Events Pavilion

Adjacent to the 10,000 SF main winery building is another 4,000 SF Events Pavilion, considered the largest of its kind on the North Fork. This area hosts up to 25 weddings per year and is outfitted with both a tent that covers the decking and a grass yard to the west overlooking the vineyards that can be tented for even larger parties.

The nearly 30 acres of grapevines on the Main Road Bedell vineyard includes 10 varieties of grapes including vines that are up to 40 years old. Fully irrigated, this vineyard, like all of Bedell’s locations are Certified Sustainable.

A true vertical operation, Bedell Winery produces 12-15K cases of wine each year, with the potential of several thousand more due to the 41 custom stainless steel fermentings tanks, 250 French oak barrels, crush pad that are all part of the state-of-the-art gravity driven wine making system. Varieties include but are not limited to the following: Musee, Taste Red, First Crush Red, Malbec, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Sparkling Rose, Taste Rose, Taste White, Viognier, Chardonnay, Blanc de Blanc and Sparkle.

A 5,700+ SF Barn is used various purposes. Half of it houses equipment and machines including a Pellenc 3140 Harvester with over-the-row hedging and suckering attachments, 2 Zickler harvest gondolas, LIPCO/Slimline pesticide sprayer storage and has DEC permits in place for an above ground diesel tank. The other half of the barn is used for temperature-controlled wine storage and aging. That part of the barn has both closed circuit cameras and a high-end security system.
